Q1: What planter would you recomend for the Waxleaf Ligustrums that are shaped in to topiaries as I want to put the planters by the front door?
A: We don't have one specific planter to recommend. We would suggest buying one according to the size that your topiary will be, that way it is proportioned correctly.
Q2: How tall of a tree can the Boise Cedar Patio Planter handle? Can it hold two or just one? I have 2 trees (i do not know what kind they are) that are about 8 feet tall that I need new planters for. Is there another product you can suggest?
A: The size of our tall planter is 41L x 21W x 17H. A tree root system should have 2 cubic feet of soil for every square foot of tree canopy at maturity.
Q3: What are the inside dimensions of this planter?
A: The inside dimension of the smaller planter is 36" x 16" x 7" with lip of the planter box top being 1". The larger one is 36" x 16" x 11" with the lip of the planter box top being 1".
Q4: Hi there, How would these hold up if we painted them? Please let me know. Thanks, Celia
A: Hi Celia, these planter boxes come to you pre-stained. If you would like to paint them, you would first need to completely sand away the stain, then apply the paint.
Q5: I am very interested in this planter, but I need something that can roll. Is it possible to add casters to this planter that will not mar a wood floor?
A: Yes, you certainly can put casters on the bottom of the legs. Most hardware or home improvement store have these and I'm sure you can find some that will not damage your wood floors.
