The Gardener's Choice Fir Wood Potting Bench is here to take all the aches and pains out of gardening. Now you can stand comfortably to do all your potting. This bench is constructed of fir for weather-resistance, and you're sure to find it's a great asset to your gardening hobby.


There's no shortage of storage here, either. The top shelf is just right for the little plastic flower trays or small pots, and there are five hooks to hang your tools from. The work surface is split in half - lift one side to reveal storage for soil, or whatever you'd like to keep handy. A lower shelf is ideal for potting soil, watering cans and more.

I was so excited to get this, it was easier than expected to put together. My only real problem is USING it. The top boards do not just slide on and off individually. You have to have BOTH boards working together. So, right now I have pots sitting on one side and the other side cannot close. I cannot seem to explain it, just know that if you want to use the inside ONLY as storage it will work fine. If you plan on using the inside portion regularly it may be pretty inconvenient. I would not have bought this if I knew better.

I bought this potter's bench for my husband's birthday and he loves it. We bought Thompson's weather-proofing at [...] and he put on a couple of coats before he assembled it which was a breeze. It's in our yard now and looks fantastic. We've gotten so many compliments on it and after looking at quite a few, I think the price is terrific. I know a few mentioned that it needs to be weatherproofed but for the price, I had no qualms about getting our own and doing it ourselves. It's the perfect size and quite functional. I like that there are two table tops to use/remove, though I do wish it came with some plastic inserts to keep the inside a bit cleaner. I'm going to look for some elsewhere to fit inside for the dirt to fall in. That way, there's no soil waste. Overall, We haven't had it long but I can find no complaints. We really love it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      The potting bench was relatively easy to assemble and looks great. I oiled it with teak oil and sealed it with water sealer prior to assembly. Looks great in my backyard.
